My Philosophy: Industry. Integrity. Intelligence.

This is my personal motto. Buying and selling real estate is a significant undertaking that requires not one or two but all three of these characteristics.

I promise to be your partner. As a real estate professional, I am dedicated to giving you the best service I can possibly give.

Why do I choose to be a realtor? I enjoy the work immensely, but I also believe in the value of home ownership, and I approach my job with pride. I take pleasure in helping others find success in the huge—often life changing—process of buying and selling a home. For some it's a dream realized; for others a prudent investment. In any case, my focus is helping my clients achieve their goals. >>Read my client testimonials<<

Service Service Service

First and foremost, I am concerned with the interests of my clients. I represent my clients with integrity and in a manner that is honest and forthright, dilligent and determined.

For those selling a home, I offer the expertise of 15 years as an advertising & marketing executive. As my client, you will receive the highest quality local and international marketing in my effort to maximize the sale price of your home.

For those buying a home, I seek to get you the property that fits your needs as you've described them. I look out for the great opportunities and the latent lemons, and I will call them as I see them. If I like a property for you—or not—I'll tell you exactly why.

For out of town or out of country buyers, I am both a realtor and a relocation consultant. As someone who also moved to Victoria from elsewhere, I know that making a new home is more than just finding a house to buy.

Professional Qualifications

I earned my real estate degree from the University of British Columbia. I am a member of the Victoria Real Estate Board, the BC Real Estate Association, and the Canadian Real Estate Association. I have Master's and Bachelor's degrees in communications from Humboldt State University, in Northern California. Previous careers include advertising executive, marketing director, and college instructor.

My Personal Life

Moving to Canada in 2002 was something of a homecoming. Although I am a dual Canadian/US citizen, my Canadian roots are deep. My maternal great-great grandparents immigrated from the Ukraine to a farmstead (still standing, barely) near Gimli Manitoba, and my paternal Scotch-Irish great-great parents immigrated to St. Thomas, Ontaro from Northern Ireland. I grew up on the coast in North San Diego County, California, and spent my summers in Windsor and on Georgian Bay, Ontario.

I have also lived in Northern California (university), Hawaii (surfing), Pakistan (Peace Corps), and the Czech Republic. From 1991-1999 I lived in Prague, where I met my wife, Veronika. We have two young sons, Ellington and Sebastian. We live in Saanich.

I enjoy people, food, wine and travel; surfing, hiking and nature; film, art, jazz and blues; ideas, philosophy, science and astronomy. As a citizen, I feel most passionate about the environment, homelessness, and child welfare.
